The AI Experience

Adventure on at jetpackuniverse.com

Inside Silicon Valley, you hear terms like “AGI-pilled”, which means you drink the kool-aid, you’re on the frontier, and you understand what’s coming with Recursive Self-Improvement (e.g., automate the automation).

But outside Silicon Valley, the feeling is different. Fear, Terminator, Job Loss, Apocalypse. It’s not great. And with the next presidential and political elections right around the corner, it means campaigning for popularity is about to begin.

When you have an 8 billion-person population (the electorate) vs a 1 million-person population (AGI-pilled), who do you think is going to win that 8,000x scale difference?

The problem, of course, is The Consumer Experience. This goes all the way back to our framing of The Growth Problem we began discussing two years ago.

Big AI and Big Tech are not driving improved consumer experiences. I don’t mean updating an interface in a mobile app, in a website, or giving someone more tokens at work. That’s all stuff behind a small pane of glass thing. I mean, in the real world, in every day life. Child care, education, food, transportation, bank account, stress.

Groceries cost 50% more than they used to. Our air quality is abysmal from out of control forest fires. We’ve got gastrointestinal issues from lettuce. All while student loan defaults and credit card balances are skyrocketing. People can only afford the experience they get from scrolling social because it’s “free”. But let’s face it, that experience isn’t so hot either.

Now, what if instead of putting those trillions of dollars into frontier AI and data centers, we started creating real world experiences that actually drove usefulness and calmer feelings for consumers. Wouldn’t that drive more growth than the apocalypse? And with your brand name at the center of that experience, maybe you’ll start to create a little goodwill, trust, and…whoda thunk it, growth.

Of course, the AGI-pilled among us will cite robotics improvement coming soon to a home near you, but as a global population, we’re unlikely to trust a 400 pound piece of metal around our kids when hallucinations are the narrative de rigueur.

More important than driving ROI, or building a moat, is getting acceptance and adoption.

It seems like all we care about is appeasing the Street instead of the User.

Over here at evergence, we fight for the user, and their experience.

That’s why we spent the last half decade building a fully AI-native, end-to-end experiential platform to give brands a way to start delivering real-world experiences that actually improve the quality of people’s lives. Not a marketing slogan. Something real, something meaningful.

Not just to shove more useless product down their throats. But to provide a more human connection into their lives that’s actually valuable.

Altman gave us infinite compute, and now Apple and Amazon are customers. Are you?
